Our commitment to Sustainability

CNA Design Studio is committed to environmentally sustainable design (ESD) principles. We collaborate closely with clients to integrate energy-efficient solutions that minimise environmental impact without compromising building costs.

Sustainability Commitment:
At CNA Design Studio, we are dedicated to creating healthy environments through innovative and sustainable design practices. We prioritise green design principles in all our projects, integrating energy efficiency and environmental stewardship to minimise building costs and ecological impact.

Environmental Sustainable Design (ESD):
We apply Environmental Sustainable Design (ESD) principles from the outset of each project, ensuring that sustainability is embedded at every stage of the design process. Our expertise allows us to effectively incorporate sustainable materials and practices, optimising both environmental performance and cost-effectiveness.

Carbon Neutral Certification: As part of our commitment to sustainability, we are working towards formal Carbon Neutral Certification with Climate Active. Our new office opening in September will mark our transition to carbon neutrality, demonstrating our dedication to sustainable operations and environmental responsibility.

CNA’s Green Philosophy:

Customised Sustainability Programs: Each project at CNA begins with a tailored sustainability program developed in collaboration with stakeholders. We emphasise correct solar orientation, efficient floor-plate design for natural light and ventilation, and considerations such as building mass, insulation, micro-climate landscaping, and water harvesting.

Flexibility and Longevity: Our designs prioritize building longevity and adaptability, incorporating unencumbered floor plans and generous ceiling heights that support evolving design standards and future flexibility.

Industry Leadership: CNA Design Studio holds an A+ Membership with the Australian Institute of Architects and is a signatory of Australian Architects Declare Climate & Biodiversity Emergency. We actively collaborate with clients who share our environmental goals and engage Life Cycle Analysis consultants to further enhance sustainability outcomes.
