King Street Apartment

CNA Design Studio undertook significant alterations and additions to a Class 4 single apartment located on the first floor above two commercial spaces, with associated parking in the basement. The project aimed to create a seamless connection between all three levels by installing a lift for enhanced accessibility. Situated within the Newcastle City Centre Heritage Conservation Area, the King Street apartment required a thoughtfully considered design, informed by heritage consultants.

Additionally, one of the existing commercial spaces was modified to facilitate a clearer separation of entryways for the residential and commercial uses. The apartment featured a single-level layout with spacious rooms, including an expansive combined living, dining, and kitchen area. CNA Design Studio was engaged from the concept design phase through to the Development Application (DA) submission.
